After my time as a student teaching assistant, I applied for working student positions in data analytics at various companies as I wanted to apply my learnt knowledge in the real world. After looking for a while, I was offered a position in IT audit at Deloitte which sounded even better since it also tapped into my digital transformation focus. But there is a downside to this, I have no idea what my job title is.
My work days can be both boring and interesting. The boring days are those where I have to merely do repetitive controls, but still need to be precise to not miss anything. The more interesting days consist of trying to find a solution for missing data or trying to make out as much as possible from a meeting with the client. As I am confronted with various IT system landscapes no client is like the other.
Over time my colleagues and supervisors trust me with more responsibilities and more complex tasks which has been an absolute ego-booster. I still feel like I am doing so many things wrong although the people around me remind me that I do not.
